Things To Believe In

This blog, for the most part, is filled with things I cannot believe in, abide by, or understand. To that end, it may seem a smidge dirgy.

However, hang on to your hat (O Lone Faithful Reader) - I do believe in some things.

• I believe in the power of usability and well-designed UIs, front-loaded in application development.
• I believe in agility and the power of confident, driven, and thoughtful people to execute it well.
• I believe in Extropian principles and the framework that they provide for optimistic rationality.
• I believe that as long as stupidity is exposed, there may yet be hope for the world.

Nevertheless, because none of these beliefs currently evidence themselves in my working life, I am forced to classify them as religion. Dang, I thought blind faith in the unprovable was supposed to feel better than this.
